Clicking 'Verify' will check that the quit card has not been previously used - if it has then you will see a message in red to this effect and you should refuse to accept the card.

If the card has not been used then you will see a message in green to say that you may accept the card, and the system will log the card as having been redeemed by your pharmacy with today's date.
